About a month ago I was lucky enough to receive some samples of Enjoy Life's Baking Mixes for sampling.  Now that school is back into full swing for us, I am having fun experimenting with these products.  This is my busiest time of year because I am back in our local classrooms offering allergy education classes.  For my kids, I always bring in treats so their friends can see how TASTY allergy~friendly products can be.  Besides having three nut-free kids, there were also wheat-free and gluten-free restrictions in the class.

Here is my latest 'Allergy-friendly Smoothie with Daniella' recipe.  This is 'SUPER EASY' and tasty on a hot summer afternoon.  You can easily make this one at home or on the road.  If at home, make your own homemade lemonade BUT put some aside without the sugar.  

The stevia in the protein will add all the sweetness you need.  If on the road, do what you have to!   Always guaranteed to be dairy-free, egg-free, peanut-free and tree nut-free with the occasional coconut thrown in.  And it is once again, gluten-free !!

Tofutti Soy Mozzarella Flavored Slices - A Great Dairy-free Alternative

I haven't found a product which Tofutti Brand makes that my kids DON'T like.  Of all the different dairy-free cheese alternatives on the market, this brand is my kid's and MY favorite.  Even more telling is that fact that I am NOT dairy-free.  These slices are also parve, vegetarian, cholesterol-free, butterfat-free and gluten-free!  Another added bonus is that you will  find their ingredient list to be egg-free, peanut-free and tree nut-free, another plus for many.

How to Make An Allergy~Friendly Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, Egg-Free Dreamy Dreamsicle Smoothie!

This super easy to make allergy~friendly, dairy-free, egg-free, peanut-free, nut-free and gluten-free smoothie makes me think of one of my favorite childhood ice creams! 

S.A.F.E. Dreamsicle Smoothie

Dreamsicle Smoothie

*Dairy free, Egg free, Peanut free, Tree-Nut Free and Gluten free

1/2 C Water
1/2 C Fresh Orange Juice 
2/3 C Vanilla protein (Arbonne) 
1/2 C Crushed Ice

Add ice...or NOT... mix in your blender or shaker cup! And you're ready to go!

Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, Nut-Free Delicious Donuts!

Made about four dozen of these dairy-free, egg-free, totally peanut-free, tree-nut free (does CONTAIN COCONUT) donuts in the past few days, and they were a HUGE HIT!  I have made some changes from the original recipe, Heart-Shaped Donuts from Chockababy.  

Having kids who ALSO had NEVER had donuts,  these have become a staple in our home over the past few years.

Here is the RECIPE for yet another 'Allergy-friendly Smoothie with Daniella'.  Always guaranteed to be dairy-free, egg-free, peanut-free and tree nut-freewith the occasional coconut thrown in.  Usually gluten-free too!!

Lemon Zest Smoothie

Thirsty Thursday Lemon Zest Smoothie Recipe

*Dairy free, Egg free, Peanut free, Tree-Nut Free and Gluten free

1/4 C vanilla flax milk 
1/2 C water
1/2 C vanilla protein 
1/2 lemon peeled and sliced; or 1 - 2 T fresh lemon juice
1 - 2 tsp stevia 


And it's easy to put this together when traveling or on the go~



Add ice...or NOT... blend and 'Down the Hatch' it goes!

Dairy-free, Egg-free, Peanut and Tree Nut-Free Lemon-Lime Icing - Delicious!

I am not always the biggest fan of using confectioners sugar for icings.  Mainly, because I don't like the final taste.  Here's a dairy-free, egg-free, peanut-free, tree nut-free, recipe I will use over and over again because, in my opinion, it's delicious!  

S.A.F.E. Recipe

Lemon-Lime Icing
**dairy-free, egg-free, peanut-free, tree-nut free

1 lb box of Pure Cane Powdered Sugar
1/4 C of lemon
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 C of dairy-free margarine (Earth Balance, Nucoa)
1 lime rind

Beat with your electric mixer for 2 minutes.  Scrape the bowl to ensure all being well mixed.  Add a tsp of extra water at a time, to adjust to your preferred consistency.  Add in a tsp of finely grated lime rind.

Top off your cinnamon rolls, cupcakes or cake with this tasty icing!

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to receive some samples from a company I thought I had never heard of before. I couldn't wait to try out the nut-free, soy-free, gluten-free, no high-fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oil free peanut butter alternative.  Made from golden peas? I didn't know what to expect.  

I was absolutely delighted at how good it tastes.  My daughter just shared some with her peanut butter loving friend, Kaykay, and she thinks it's great too.  I must say it is DARN TASTY!

Just had our last baseball game last night, and this allergy~friendly recipe was a hit AGAIN!  Thank you to Amy Quilici for making these so that ALL the kids could enjoy a cupcakes in celebration!!  They are dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free, peanut-free, tree-nut free and DELICIOUS!
