After discussions with some dear food allergy moms who have been traveling my journey with me along the way, I realized many of us are struggling to keep our middle schoolers and high schoolers safe.

As I see more and more middle schoolers themselves struggling with issues, I can't emphasize enough to get THEM involved with school education too.  Here are just a few of my favorite resources I find helpful.  I know there are MANY more, but here's a start for those parents trying to figure out what resources are available to get more education in YOUR schools today!!

As a kid, my dad made the following recipe regularly and we DEVOURED it.  As my kids get older, I LOVE having them help to figure out how we can recreate my family recipes into

Here is the RECIPE for yet another 'Allergy-friendly Smoothie with Daniella'.  Always guaranteed to be dairy-free, egg-free, peanut-free and tree nut-freewith the occasional coconut thrown in.  Usually gluten-free too!!

Lemon Zest Smoothie

Thirsty Thursday Lemon Zest Smoothie Recipe

*Dairy free, Egg free, Peanut free, Tree-Nut Free and Gluten free

1/4 C vanilla flax milk 
1/2 C water
1/2 C vanilla protein 
1/2 lemon peeled and sliced; or 1 - 2 T fresh lemon juice
1 - 2 tsp stevia 


And it's easy to put this together when traveling or on the go~



Add ice...or NOT... blend and 'Down the Hatch' it goes!

An Allergy~Friendly Pumpkin Pie MANY will enjoy~

Just made this pumpkin pie again and I think it was better this year than last year! It is egg-free, nut-free and/or dairy free pumpkin pie recipe. Just so happens, I just found one that I think is pretty darn awesome! And just in the nick of time, because my daughter had been asking me for two weeks to make a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving!
