Having kids who ALSO had NEVER had donuts, these have become a staple in our home over the past few years.

Heartfelt Allergy~Friendly Donuts
*dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, peanut-free
NOTE: CONTAINS COCONUT
2 C of Flour (sift once if you want a more cake flour)
3/4 C Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp Salt
1 1/4 C of Coconut milk (if using a thinner milk like flax or rice, use ONLY 1 C)
1/2 C Applesauce
2 T Melted Earth Balance
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 Heart Shaped Baking Pan - (Mine is a Wilton)
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Sift all dry ingredients together and mix well.

Add wet ingredients and mix until blended.

Combine dry and wet ingredients. Spoon about an 1/8 C into each donut spot.

Bake about 6 1/2 to 7 minutes. They will be doughy if you don't cook them long enough.
Combine 1/4 C of sugar with a 1/4 tsp of cinnamon. After cooling for about 1 minute, roll in cinnamon/sugar mix.
Nothing makes my kids OR me smile more than hearing their friends say how tasty their snacks are and asking for seconds!
