About a month ago I was lucky enough to receive some samples of Enjoy Life's Baking Mixes for sampling.  Now that school is back into full swing for us, I am having fun experimenting with these products.  This is my busiest time of year because I am back in our local classrooms offering allergy education classes.  For my kids, I always bring in treats so their friends can see how TASTY allergy~friendly products can be.  Besides having three nut-free kids, there were also wheat-free and gluten-free restrictions in the class.

I was pleased some time ago when Nana's Nola contacted me and asked if I'd be willing to try out their newly marketed granola and offer a review.  One look at the ingredients and I knew this organic, soy-free, wheat-free and gluten-free product could be a great find for many of my fans.   

S.A.F.E. Review - Nana Nola's Gluten-Free Granola Bites 

Some granolas are very crunchy, almost too hard to chew.  Not this one.  The easy to chew crunchiness in this blend comes from gluten-free rolled oats, organic crisp rice, organic quinoa puffed and sunflower seeds.  I am already a huge fan of agave and like the sweetness it adds to this mix.  It is delicious with yogurt, blended in shakes or just on its own - as I can attest to as I happily munch on it as I write up this review.

Grandmother, Marie Lusin's original granola was served to customers at her 'Flying Changes Bed-and-Breakfast', in Oneonta, New York.  It was so popular she was encouraged to serve it to a larger population.  Being primarily focused on providing a granola to consumers with celiac conditions, she took up the challenge and perfected her organic, gluten-free whole grains granola mix.

I can claim NO origination for the following recipe.  I borrowed it from the first allergy cookbook I ever bought, The Food Allergy News Cookbook.   This particular recipe is milk-free, egg-free, peanut-free, soy-free, and nut-free.  It can also be wheat-free and gluten-free.

Enjoy Life makes us smile again!  Loving this NEW product which is FREE of the top 8 allergens AND free of gluten, casein, sesame and sulfites!

DAVID Sunflower Kernels - Loving this PEANUT/TREE NUT FREE snack!

Sunflower seeds.  Who doesn't love them?!  Finding them with no worries of peanut/tree-nut cross-contamination is another story!  I have only been able to find some at Trader Joes which we can eat safely.  Of course, there is NOT a Trader Joes here in Boise.  I have extended family fly them in when visiting from Philadephia or Phoenix.
