After discussions with some dear food allergy moms who have been traveling my journey with me along the way, I realized many of us are struggling to keep our middle schoolers and high schoolers safe.

Food Allergy Binder - Some Simple Ideas to Make Your Back to School Transition Easier

Many of us have been focused on 'Back to School' preparations during the past few weeks.  As much as I wish it wasn't true, having kids with food allergies, especially life-threatening ones, adds additional stresses.  Besides new supplies, new clothes and new schedules, we add in annual meetings with the teachers, the Principal and the school nurse.

No matter what age your kids are, a food allergy binder will be an invaluable asset to your student's teachers.  Having paperwork is what most parents think about first but I can't emphasize enough about having a simple binder for your child's teacher.  This is what has typically gone in ours:
