SuperPretzel Baked Soft Pretzels... what a yummy afternoon snack!

Today I was craving something different for an afternoon snack with my kids.  One jumped out at me that we hadn't had for months.  According to the ingredient list, there is no dairy, eggs or nuts.

Ingredients include:  ENRICHED WHEAT FLOUR (WHEAT FLOUR MALTED BARLEY FLOUR, NIACIN, REDUCED IRON, THIAMINE MONONITRATE, RIBOFLAVIN, FOLIC ACID), WATER, CORN SYRUP, YEAST, SALT, BICARBONATES AND CARBONATES OF SODA.

It states on the packaging:  CONTAINS WHEAT. 

Here's another package statement, which I have NEVER seen before:  THIS PRODUCT IS PRODUCED IN A PLANT WHICH HANDLES PEANUTS, TREE NUTS, EGGS, MILK, SOYBEANS AND CHOCOLATE AND IS MANAGED TO FDA ALLERGEN CONTROL PROCESSING GUIDELINES.

For those concerned about the packaging statement, be sure to call the company and see if their allergen control processes meet your safe food standards.

You can find these pretzels nationwide... on the boardwalk, in shopping malls and in smaller snack shops. Our favorite way to eat them is at home with lots of mustard!
