More Allergy~Friendly Breakfast Bars - Kashi TLC Soft Cereal Bars

I've seen more requests lately about people looking for allergy~friendly granola and breakfast bars.
Kashi TLC Soft Cereal Bars Review from S.A.F.E.
Here's a post reviewing one of our family's favorites.  There is NO milk, egg, or nuts listed in the ingredient list which are all items we avoid in my house.  I find this cereal bar makes a great snack any time of the day.  It does state 'natural flavor' in the ingredient list which I know can be of concern for some.

Kashi TLC Soft-Baked Cereal Bars, distributed by Kashi Sales L.L.C., in La Jolla, California.

Tasty Ingredients of the Ripe Strawberry bars include:  STRAWBERRY FILLING (PEAR JUICE CONCENTRATE, TAPIOCA SYRUP, EVAPORATED CANE JUICE, APPLE POWDER, STRAWBERRY PUREE CONCENTRATE, UNMODIFIED CORN STARCH, VEGETABLE GLYCERIN, WATER, NATURAL FLAVOR, FRUIT JUICE CONCENTRATE FOR COLOR), KASHI SEVEN WHOLE GRAINS AND SESAME FLOUR (WHOLE OATS, HARD RED WHEAT, BROWN RICE, RYE, TRITICALE, BARLEY, BUCKWHEAT, SESAME SEEDS), ORGANIC WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR, EVAPORATED CANE JUICE SYRUP, EXPELLER PRESSED CANOLA OIL, ORGANIC WHOLE OATS, HONEY, TAPIOCA SYRUP, GUM ARABIC, OAT FIBER, VEGETABLE GLYCERIN, SODIUM ACID PYROPHOSPATE, BAKING SODA, SOY LECITHIN, XANTHAM GUM, NATURAL FLAVOR.

It also states on the ingredients list:  CONTAINS WHEAT AND SOY

For more information, visit them at :  http://www.kashi.com/ or 1-877-747-2467 (1-877-GRAINS)

You will find an extensive array of information on their website such as: events, coupons, store locators, recipes, and other available products.  I was very impressed with the fact that they currently have clearly posted on their website a recall they are currently experiencing.

The only other bars we have eaten and highly recommend are the Blackberry Graham ones!  There are also Cherry Vanilla and Baked Apple Spice which we haven't had the opportunity to try.

I try to have several boxes regularly at home, and have extras available at school for snack options.  Sometimes I can even find them being offered at some local discount stores.

I think my kids enjoy the fact that even their friends enjoy these breakfast bars.

Do you have allergy~friendly suggestions of you own? WE love to hear them!

  1. Hi Daniella,

Breakfast bars would be so helpful. What about possible cross-contamination--do you have any info on Top 8 allergens used in the manufacturing facility? Thanks so much! :)

    1. What exactly are you looking for? If the top 8 are processed there? Manufacturing practices or protocol? Thx..
