Back To Nature Granola - An Allergy~Friendly Possibility for Your Home

As I looked through my pantry to decide what product I wanted to blog about, my youngest bedtime snacker answered the question for me.

"Mom, can I have some of that yummy granola with my yogurt?".  Enough said.

S.A.F.E. Apple Blueberry Granola

Finding an allergy~friendly granola isn't an easy thing to do.  Most have some sort of nuts in them, which is completely off limits for one child and partially off limits for the other.  We also avoid milk and eggs.

I'm not one to buy all kids of different products to make everyone happy.  I've done my darndest to find products that cover all of our allergy worries at once.  Less room for error and hospital visits!

back to NATURE, 100% Natural, Apple Blueberry Granola, distributed by Nature Foods Company.

Ingredients include:  whole grain rolled oats, evaporated cane juice, pineapple juice concentrate, pear juice concentrate, dried apples, dried wild blueberries, peach juice concentrate, vitamin E (A natural vitamin to help preserve flavor), natural flavor, salt.

It states on the packaging:  No Artifical Preservatives, Flavors or Colors; Sweetened with Natural Ingredients (NO corn syrup!!)

I know that some people may be concerned with the 'natural flavor' ingredient so that would have to be a personal decision.  We have used this product for years and it is the ONLY granola I will buy.

For more information, contact:  http://www.backtonaturefoods.com/ or 1-866-536-6946.

Delicious with yogurt, ice cream, mixed with your favorite fruit or all alone.

Enjoy!

  1. I wonder if you've seen any granolas that also don't contain cane sugar or honey? I keep looking for one sweetened either with agave or fruit juice, to no avail! Also, for my daughter I need it to be sunflower-free. Any ideas??

  3. Bethany.. here's a link I found to make your own granola bars. Am going to try it myself and make necessary changes. You could use agave instead of sugar, soy nuts instead of sunflower seeds.

  4. Okay, Bethany, here's another possibility. You would have to substitute agave for honey but it looks tastyhttp://heavenlyhomemakers.com/homemade-chewy-granola-bars-without-corn-syrup.
