Rice Vegan Slices -Dairy Free, Soy-Free, Gluten-Free Cheese Slices

Traveling with food allergies can, at times, be overwhelmingly stressful.  At other times, it can be an exciting adventure of discovering new food options and alternatives!

When I have the time, I experience a great pleasure in browsing grocery stores of other cities.  Inevitably, I find something new to try.  One of the items I recently came across at Giant, a local grocery store, was a new brand of MILK-FREE, SOY-FREE, GLUTEN-FREE cheese slices.

Rice Vegan American Flavor Rice Vegan Slices, distributed by Galaxy Nutritional Foods, Inc., Orlando, Florida. 

Ingredients include:  ORGANIC RICE BASE (FILTERED WATER, ORGANIC RICE FLOUR), ORGANIC RICE MALTODEXTRIN, RICE BRAN OIL, PEA PROTEIN, CALCIUM & SODIUM PHOSPHATES, CONTAINS 2% OR LESS OF SEA SALT, CARRAGEENAN, MONO & DIGLYCERIDES, NATURAL FLAVORS, LACTIC ACID (NON-DAIRY), APOCAROTENAL (COLOR), BETACAROTENE.

It also states on the packaging:  DAIRY and SOY FREE, CHOLESTEROL and LACTOSE FREE, MADE FOR MELTING, EXCELLENT SOURCE OF CALCIUM, PRESERVATIVE FREE, 0G TRANS FAT, GLUTEN FREE, NO ADDED MSG

Although the packaging does state, MILK-FREE, I know that the 'natural flavors' ingredient may be of concern to some.
