I have a heck of time getting my dairy-free daughter to get enough calcium.  I am regularly trying out different dairy-free options to see if I can find one this rapidly growing tweener likes.  I was very impressed with our recent find - a plant based, all natural Hemp non-dairy beverage.  In case you're wondering, it's made from hemp seed, NOT hemp plant!!

It has a mild nutty taste, but is NOT as thick or sweet as coconut milk or as thin as rice milk. It's also vegan, organic, soy-free, gluten-free, parve, NON-GMO Project Verified AND contains 50% of one's daily amount of calcium needed - a HUGE PLUS for my daughter.  

Nana's Nola Gluten Free Granola Bites - An Organic, Soy-free, Wheat-free Option Many Will Enjoy

I was pleased some time ago when Nana's Nola contacted me and asked if I'd be willing to try out their newly marketed granola and offer a review.  One look at the ingredients and I knew this organic, soy-free, wheat-free and gluten-free product could be a great find for many of my fans.   

S.A.F.E. Review - Nana Nola's Gluten-Free Granola Bites 

Some granolas are very crunchy, almost too hard to chew.  Not this one.  The easy to chew crunchiness in this blend comes from gluten-free rolled oats, organic crisp rice, organic quinoa puffed and sunflower seeds.  I am already a huge fan of agave and like the sweetness it adds to this mix.  It is delicious with yogurt, blended in shakes or just on its own - as I can attest to as I happily munch on it as I write up this review.

Grandmother, Marie Lusin's original granola was served to customers at her 'Flying Changes Bed-and-Breakfast', in Oneonta, New York.  It was so popular she was encouraged to serve it to a larger population.  Being primarily focused on providing a granola to consumers with celiac conditions, she took up the challenge and perfected her organic, gluten-free whole grains granola mix.

Soyummi Rice Pudding - Loving this GF, NF, PF & DF snack!

Are you a rice pudding fan?  Then you may really enjoy this milk-free, lactose-free and gluten-free rice pudding.  The packaging also states this product is nut and peanut-free, a natural prebiotic, and made with organic ingredients.  It's also Pareve and 'Verified Organic by Ecocert Canada'.  Lots of great reasons to give this product a try!

I loved the smell of rice pudding being made from scratch as a kid and was impressed how much I liked this alternative.

Rising Moon Organics Garlic & Roasted Veggie Ravioli

Looking for a great tasting ravioli?  We need a variety which is dairy free (milk-free), egg-free, fish-free and nut-free.  I've already raved about my kid's high marks for their favorite Organic Spinach Florentine Ravioli.  This week we decided to try a different version of the same ravioli brand we have been eating for years.  

It doesn't state on the packaging that this product IS FREE of these items, but there is NO milk, egg, fish or nuts found in the ingredient list.

Here's the kicker. 

1. One week I bought three 8.25 FL OZ individual boxes for a $1.00.  That was $8.00 for a case which included twenty-four individual 8.25 FL OZ boxes.  I only bought 2 cases.
2. At the same store the next week, I bought six 8.25 FL OZ for the same price.  That equaled $4.00 for twenty-four 8.25 individual FL OZ boxes.  I bought everything they had left!!
3. I paid almost $22.00 for a case, twenty-seven individual 8 FL OZ boxes, of a more well known brand.

You do the math!  Unbelievable!!

As of today, March 4, 2013, we still love this granola bar which is egg-free, dairy-free AND totally nut-free.  They are also artificial flavor-free, preservative-free and hydrogenated oil-free!  


Going by what the labeling says on both the Harvest Berry and Multi Grain bars, these are both dairy-free (milk-free), egg-free, peanut-free and tree-nut free, meeting ALL of our allergy-free needs.
